We’re hanging out today in the town of Atlin and it’s quite windy. I was a little nervous to set the Starlink dish on top of the van–what if the wind knocked it off? Regina engineered a brilliant way to mount it. We used super strong tape to mount some metal plates to the top of the van, and then attached magnets to the base of the Starlink dish. I’m honestly tempted to try driving with the dish attached. It feels so stable! I may not risk that, but it’s definitely sturdy enough to resist the wind. There’s no phone service in Atlin, so it’s really great to be able to use Starlink.
Current location: Atlin, BC. This evening, we’ll drive north to re-join the Alaska highway, and continue driving towards Seattle.
